your child?

FAMILY POLICY · DAYCARE & KINDERGARTEN

Food & Beverage
Policy.

Children may bring a healthy meal and snack from home when these safety and nutrition requirements are followed.

01

Pack a balanced meal

Choose age-appropriate portions with fruit or vegetables, whole grains and a suitable source of protein. Water and plain milk are welcome.

02

Keep Mini Me nut-free

Do not send nuts, nut butters or foods containing nuts. Families must declare every allergy and dietary requirement during registration and update us immediately if it changes.

03

Prevent choking

Food must be cut and prepared for your child’s age. Do not send whole grapes, popcorn, hard sweets, whole nuts or other hard, round or sticky foods.

04

Label and pack safely

Use a clean, sealed lunchbox and bottle labelled with the child’s full name. Pack food at a safe temperature with an ice pack when needed.

05

Leave these at home

No fizzy drinks, energy drinks, sweets, chocolate, chewing gum, crisps or highly processed snack foods.

06

Do not share food

Children may eat only the food packed for them. Staff may withhold any item that creates an allergy, choking or food-safety risk and will inform the family.

HEALTH & SAFETY · DAYCARE & KINDERGARTEN

Head Lice Prevention
& Control.

We manage head lice calmly, discreetly and without stigma. Mini Me carries out periodic checks as part of our safeguarding routine.

01

Periodic, discreet checks

Children may be checked periodically by designated staff. Any concern is handled privately and the child’s dignity and confidentiality are protected.

02

Check and tell us

Families should check hair regularly and inform Mini Me promptly if live head lice are confirmed or treatment has begun. Early reporting helps protect the whole community.

03

Reduce close spread

Teach children to avoid direct head-to-head contact. Long hair should be tied back where practical.

04

Personal items stay personal

Do not share combs, brushes, hats, scarves, hair accessories, towels, pillows or bedding. Every personal item must be clearly labelled.

05

Treatment and return

If live lice are found, the family will be notified privately. The child may complete the day and can return after appropriate treatment has begun. Nits alone do not require exclusion.

06

Follow-up and environment

Mini Me may carry out follow-up checks and clean shared fabric items and contact surfaces. Preventive chemical treatment and fumigant sprays are not used.
